Faceless

Faceless
I wandered
and faceless
I remained
through love-lit nights
and dying days,
from rain-kissed pavements
to rivers blue –
thats there I tried
to hide
from You.

I sunk myself
in the rivers bed
and watched the
waters curl.
‘Who is she
that the fish
don’t see?’
that nameless
faceless
girl.

Currents strong
and creatures deep
couldn’t move me
from the rivers keep.
It’s there I stayed
and tried to fade
forever into
sleep.

But
there is no place
I can go
where I can not
be found.

No mountain too high
or valley too low,
for You see
everywhere I go,
even in the waters
where I am unknown,
Your love is
all around.

Faceless
I wandered
and faceless
I remained,
until one dawn
of dying day
You met me in
the rivers keep
and opened my eyes
so always I can find
the love I seek.
